Olive Homans

Biography:

(1881-1899)

A child actress who came to fame playing the title role in "Little Lord Fauntleroy," Olive Homans was born in Boston and played her most famous role at age eight. Witty and alert, she played child parts in "Rosedale" and "Joseph's Sweetheart" for the Boston Museum Company. Olive Homans suffered from chronic asthma and died at age 18 from an allergic reaction that led to asphyxiation. David S. Shields/ALS
